FORIEGN DEBT INCREASED 8 % : 30 CRORE RUPEES LIQURE IN KERALA DURING NEW YEAR
On 1/1/2010, a two newses were appeared in our news papers. One is about the foriegn debt of India. and is the other is about the statistics showing the consumption of alchohol during new year by the drinkers of kerala. This two newses made a spark in my mind and aroused a question in my mind that, is India is really a poor country?
It is reported that,India's foriegn debt was increased 8% mare than as it is in the last financial year. The total amount of debt in terms of money is 24280 crore $. The direct debt interms of $ is 27.5 % that is 607 ten lakh $. The reasons for the increase of Indias debt is that, the decrease of the value of dollar, and the adoption of foriegn companies by the Indioan companies in the last year.
The second news in the same paper is about the staistics showing the alchohol consumption of Kerala people in the new year. it was more than 30 crore rupees. The fact is that, it is the report from the beverage corportion alone. The supply of liqure through private Hotels, Toddy bars and other private bars and the illegal alchohol is not included in this report. it is assumed that more than 200 crore rupees liqure was distributed in Kerala alone.
Lets compare the two newses. In one side India is facing indebtedness with other foriegn countries and in other side people are wasting crores of rupees for alchohols. The tax department reveals that the payment of taxes is very low in compare with the revenue of people.
What is the reason behind it? Poeple's attitude should be change. They have to think about the future of our nation. Other wise India will be in the clutches of foriegn countries.

IS INDIA REALLY A POOR NATION?
